| We get to know the families we’re assisting very well. A real trust develops, and we are often asked a lot of questions that are not directly related to the funeral itself. For example, during pre-need planning sessions, we may be asked about assisted living and nursing homes, or estate planning and other end-of-life legal concerns. At the time of need, especially when most of the family members are from out of town, we are often asked to provide information on local churches, lodging, transportation, caterers and facilities for “after the service” meals and fellowship.
